X Factor U.K. host Caroline Flack, who is rumored to have dated both Prince Harry and One Direction‘s Harry Styles, is opening up about her royal romance in her new autobiography.

Flack claims she met Prince Harry in 2009 through a mutual friend.

“I knew she was friends with Prince Harry, and I’d never met him, so I thought, ‘Oh, that’s quite exciting,’ and for a moment I perked up,” she writes in her upcoming book Storm In a C Cup, according to an excerpt published by The Sun. “So I was just sitting there and he arrived with a few others in tow and we all spent the evening chatting and laughing.”

Flack, 35, admits that the pair were photographed together and they “did have a friendship,” but it ended quickly.

“Once the story got out, that was it. We had to stop seeing each other,” she writes. “I was no longer Caroline Flack, TV presenter, I was Caroline Flack, Prince Harry’s bit of rough.”

The British beauty also opens up about her relationship with Styles, now 21, whom she met on The X Factor and began dating in 2011, while he was 17 and she was 31.

“I already knew that he had a crush on me, he’d made it pretty obvious. He’d said it in magazines and he’d said it to friends,” Flack writes. “Although it was just a bit of fun we decided it was best to keep it to ourselves … We were both single, we got on well and we had a laugh.”

The age gap never seemed like an issue to Flack: “I’ve never felt I was much older than Harry anyway. I still feel 18 and probably act that way half the time.”

But once the relationship became public knowledge, things went downhill.

“It began to go wrong when Harry was pictured coming out of my house one morning. And once that was out, it was open season,” she writes. “After that anyone could say anything. In the street people started shouting at me ‘pedophile’ and ‘pervert.’ ”

She claims One Direction fans sent her death threats on Twitter and drew her as a voodoo doll in a 1D fanzine. Flack says that all of the negative attention started to shake her confidence.

“Until this point I’d been comfortable in my own skin. I was comfortable with my age, with my life, with the way I looked. I had never really had any doubts or insecurities about myself,” Flack writes. “Then I actually started questioning who I really was. Am I fat? Am I old? Am I ugly?”

Storm in a C Cup will be released on Oct. 22.
