Derek Hough Sees Himself 'Married with Kids Within the Next Five Years'

Derek Hough‘s longtime best friend Mark Ballas just got married — so is there any chance Hough might have caught the love bug?

During an appearance on Wednesday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, Hough opened up about being the best man at his fellow Dancing with the Stars‘ pro’s stunning nuptials.

“He asked me 17 years ago to be his best man — we were 14 years old,” revealed Hough, 31. “So there was a lot of pressure, actually. Luckily it went well … I’ve never been more nervous in my life, though! I was so nervous.”

So … did it make Hough himself want to settle down?

“Yeah,” the star admitted. “You know, if you would have asked me like a year ago, or two years ago, I’d probably [have been] like: ‘I’m not really looking [for that].’ But I’m kind of in a place now in my life, kind of in a transition, and yeah — I see myself married with kids within the next five years, so, we’ll see.”

“Are you dating anybody now?” asked host Ellen DeGeneres.

Hough, who was last linked to DWTS troupe member Hayley Erbert in August, laughed sheepishly.

“Perhaps, I don’t know …” he said, trailing off.

“Maybe you are,” nudged DeGeneres.

“Maybe I am, yes,” he said with a smile.

But in the meantime, the star already has a pretty huge family to spend time with.

“It’s a lot,” he said of the Houghs’ recent Thanksgiving celebration. “Every time I go visit them there’s two new babies running around and I’m like: ‘Oh, these are new humans. Who are these?’ ”

“But yeah, having a big family, and a lot of sisters, there’s a lot of estrogen in my family,” he added. “And when people come visit, it’s like this beautiful hurricane. They’re running around, dancing, being crazy! They’re the best, I love them to death.”
