Cook are in no rush. “I’m not getting a ton of marital advice,” Stiles, 35, tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “We’re really slow on the wedding planning so I haven’t really been soliciting advice. Somebody told me about radical empathy, but I’m still trying to figure out what that means. I’m trying to figure out what makes it radical.” The couple, who got engaged on Christmas Eve at a private residence in Isla Grande, Colombia, met on the set of 2015’s Go with Me, where Cook worked as a camera assistant. • For more from Julia Stiles, pick up this week’s issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands now The actress says her time in Colombia was nothing short but “amazing.” “That’s where we got engaged,” she says. “All around, it was a really wonderful trip. We stayed on an island that was really beautiful and there was a lot of great snorkeling. The city was really nice, too, but because I live in the city the natural scenery was really great.” Stiles stars as Nicky Parsons in the new Jason Bourne film.
