Try to stay calm, Directioners.

One Direction will embark on an extended hiatus starting in March of next year, PEOPLE has learned.

The group, which is now made up of Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, has mutually agreed to take at least a year long break from the band to pursue their own projects, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

This break also means there will not be a tour for their fifth album, which is expected to be released later this year.

The boys will continue to promote the album through February.

The decision to part ways comes just days after the British group released the new music video for their single “Drag Me Down.”

News of the hiatus will likely not come as a surprise to fans. As PEOPLE previously reported, the guys had been planning on pursuing solo projects “just like the [Rolling] Stones.”

Former 1D member Zayn Malikleft the group back in March, telling The Sun at the time, “I can’t do that anymore because it’s not the real me.”
