The erstwhile Guns N’ Roses guitarist has filed for divorce from his wife of 13 years. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the British rocker – whose real name is Saul Hudson – filed for divorce from wife Perla Hudson on Tuesday. The couple have two sons together, London, 12, and Cash, 10, and the musician is seeking joint custody. The split reportedly comes after an ultimatum set by his wife, who flew to Hawaii with their children amid the couple’s relationship struggles. Speaking to PEOPLE in 2009, Slash credited his wife with helping to keep him on the right track, acknowledging that after settling down and having kids, he got “rid of all the real hardcore stuff that I used to live on.” This isn’t the first sign of marital rancor between the two: The 49-year-old rocker – who formed the band Velvet Revolver and last released a solo album, his second, in 2012 – filed for divorce from Perla, 39, in 2010, only to call it off two months later. They wed in 2001. He previously had been married to actress Renée Suran, and their five-year marriage ended in 1997. TMZ was first to report Tuesday’s divorce filing.
