Footage shared by Mark Thorne on Facebook shows a long snake dangling from the back bumper of a car traveling down a highway in Alabama. "Here is something you don't see everyday. We passed this on the highway right before getting off exit 62 for Auburn/Opelika," Thorne captioned the clip, posted on April 29. In the video, a snake with a black pattern peers from below a sedan's back bumper. The reptile also touches the ground several times as the driver of the vehicle, seemingly unaware of the snake hanging from their car, speeds on. In the comments section of the post, several people inquired about the snake's well-being. Thorne responded to several comments, sharing that the snake was alive when he drove by it. The man also noted that he tried to get the attention of the driver with the snake attached to their car multiple times but had no luck. In April, a Texas science teacher and her friend were fishing on Caney Creek near Sargent, Texas. During the trip, they spotted a snake swimming toward them through the water.
