Audrina Patridge's Food Diary: What I Eat in a Day

Audrina Patridge

When it comes to diet, Audrina Patridge is all about balance.

“I don’t think anyone should deprive themselves; it’s all about self control and balancing,” says Patridge, the newly engaged host of NBC’s travel show 1st Look, who also aims to drink 66 oz. of water each day to stay hydrated.

“I don’t drink as much water as I’d like to but I try,” she adds.

Patridge admits she is “not a big dessert or soda person,” but doesn’t hold back when it comes to a treat meal.

“It would definitely be an In-n-Out burger,” says the 5’6″ 30 -year-old. “A No. 2 animal style with an Arnold Palmer and fries!”

Patridge balances this with lots of exercise. When she is home in L.A., she’ll head to a local Pilates class. And when she is on the road traveling for her job, “I work out three days a week,” she says.

“If the hotel has a gym I do 20 minutes of cardio and alternate days where I’ll switch between working only my butt, legs, back and calves, and then my arms and core,” she explains.

The Verdict: “Breakfast has a good balance of protein and high-fiber carbs,” says dietitian Keri Glassman of NutritiousLife.com. “But to reduce her sugar intake, she could skip the juice and do unsweetened almond milk.” And for lunch, Glassman adds, “as long as Audrina isn’t overdoing the feta in the Greek salad, she can enjoy the salty flavor and benefit from the calcium and protein. The chicken adds lean protein and the hummus a little more protein (in plant form) and fiber, which will help fill her up too.” Glassman says Patridge is spot on choosing nuts for a snack. “I love pistachios because they are packed with antioxidants, fat, protein and fiber, and you get to eat more of them because they are small! Perfect for snacking.” For dinner, “a little indulgence is fine,” says Glassman, “but Audrina should get rid of the fried sushi to make room for the beer and ice cream.”
