Margot Robbie Wears Her Most Barbie Look Yet at the 2024 Golden Globes, Plus $3M in Pink-and-White Diamonds

The actress, who was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, for her role as the titular character in Barbie, arrived in a custom Giorgio Armani Privé hot pink sequined gown along with a pink tulle boa, which Barbie fans immediately recognized as a replica of the 1977 SuperStar Barbie doll’s 50th anniversary.

"I actually do feel it tonight," the actress said to Variety on the red carpet about dressing like SuperStar Barbie.

The star accessorized her look with $3 million worth of Lorraine Schwartz Jewelry, including 30-ct. diamond studs and a 3-ct. D flawless old cut Golconda Diamond ring with natural vivid pink diamonds.

Since kicking off her Barbie promo tour on June 25 in a pink and white polka-dot Valentino mini dress with a crisscross neckline reminiscent of a Pink & Fabulous Barbie from 2015 (right down to the bright yellow bag), Robbie, 33, and and her stylist Andrew Mukamal have been committed to delivering a fresh Barbie look for every appearance. 

As Robbie herself told PEOPLE at the film's L.A. premiere, “We're finding Barbie references from decades past and just doing it really for the big Barbie fans out there, people who are actually collecting those Barbies. We're hoping to get them excited. We're pairing Barbie references with great designers.”

And it wasn’t just the biggest fashion houses, who have worked with Robbie and Mukamal on custom reinterpretations of the Mattel doll’s iconic looks, who wanted to jump on the Barbie bandwagon.

“Barbie outfits” become the No. 1 trending search in the outfit inspo category in the U.S. (according to Google’s 2023 Year in Search recap), but moviegoers got decked out in their own Barbie ensembles to see the film for months.

Barbie received nine Golden Globe nominations, including best picture musical or comedy, while Ryan Gosling scored a best actor nomination and the film also dominated the musical category nominations.
