Kyle Richards Explains Why She's Moving Out of Beverly Hills: 'I Just Fell in Love'

Kyle Richards and her husband Mauricio Umansky are moving on up . . . to the Valley

Kyle Richards is movin' on up…to the Valley!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently explained to Entertainment Tonight why she and her husband Mauricio Umansky left the 90210 behind.

While she was renovating her Beverly Hills mansion, Richards happened to come across the home she and her husband would eventually move to by chance. "It was actually one of my husband's listings, and I said to him, 'I wanna go look at this house to look at the floors,' because I was redoing my floors at the time," she explained.

When the two went and saw the home, Richards was "completely blown away."

"It's not like anything you would see in Los Angeles normally, and I just fell in love and my husband did too," she added.

But before they could make the final decision, they brought in her friend — and designer — Faye Resnick to check it out. "She walked in and said 'I have goosebumps everywhere, you need this home' and we were like, 'Guess we're moving.' "

Although Richards and her husband moved to the Valley, north of L.A., earlier this year, the couple only recently put their former mansion up for sale — with a price tag of $6.995 million (or for $50,000 per month as a rental).

Though he's one of the city's top realtors, Mauricio is not the one selling his home. The property was listed with Mauricio's company The Agency, but his daughter Brittany Aldjufrie and father Eduardo Umansky are the two managing the sale.

The 6,250-square-foot, 7-bedroom, 8-bathroom Beverly Hills house is tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac, according to the listing. Among its many assets, the home boasts a marble fireplace, a private tennis court, and a state-of-the-art soundproofed home theater.
