Influencer Announces Pregnancy One Year After Death of Son Asher, 15 Months: 'Our Hearts Are Torn'

Travel influencer Christine Tran Ferguson has shared an update on her family's life.

In an Instagram Reel on Tuesday, Aug. 13, Tran Ferguson and husband Ryan Ferguson revealed that they're expecting their second baby.

The family made sure to include their late son Asher, who died at 15 months in July 2023, in their announcement. The video begins with the couple standing side by side in front of a large photo of Asher hanging in their home. They turn around with smiles as Tran Ferguson unfurls a reel of ultrasound photos.

"Baby number 2 coming soon.. 🤍 It’s been such a hard journey getting here & really hard to navigate but we’re so blessed to be welcoming baby number 2 🥹," she wrote.

"Our hearts are torn with being grateful and also incredibly sad and missing Asher so much. You are so missed each and every day 👼🏻🕊️."

The influencer behind Tour de Lust has shared peeks into her grief online in the year since Asher's death. In April, Tran Ferguson reflected on the loss on what would have been her baby boy's second birthday.

"You made me a momma and you have brought us all so much joy and happiness. I know how much you’ll be bossing us around this year making your favorite pancakes, going to the park, blowing bubbles and playing with your favorite toys and watching Ms Rachel all day. You were loving cars last year so of course this year we’re celebrating you with the best cake and cars. And we welcome you all to celebrate Asher today and think about him too 🤍," she wrote.

"There is so much I want to say but it’s so hard not having you here. My heart is forever broken. I just hope you’re celebrating wherever you are and wishing you are blowing out your own candle this year. I love you so much Asher. Happy Birthday my sweet boy ❤️."

Asher was born on April 20, 2022, nine years to the day that the couple first met, with Tran Ferguson expressing her gratitude for her baby boy after his traumatic birth.

"The doctor told us he had the cord around his neck so when the contractions happened it would tighten around his neck which led to his heart rate dropping," she explained at the time. "I’m just so glad our amazing doctors delivered him safely. It was awhile before I got to finally hold him once I was in the recovery room. I couldn’t believe it, he’s FINALLY HERE in my arms! I feel so blessed and lucky to be your mother and understand what everyone has told me. There is no love like this 🥹."
