Chiles, 23, said she was "screaming" and "crying" after two of her heroes, Beyoncé and Michael Jordan, extended their best wishes to her ahead of the Games. The gymnast shared the exciting messages to her Instagram Stories on July 17, showing a plaque of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter album art with a lengthy personal note from the "Texas Hold 'Em" songstress. "Congrats to you Queen. Always watch you with pride and admiration," Beyoncé wrote in silver marker. "Thank you for reppin’ us. Good luck to you," she added. On another corner of the plaque, Beyoncé wrote, "All of your hard work and sacrifice shines bright. Praying for you and wishing you the best." "Ahhhh!! I'm screaming right now!! Y'all Beyonce sent me this and I'm crying," she wrote. In her next slide, Chiles revealed another A-list fan of hers when she posted a text message directly from basketball legend Michael Jordan. "Hey Jordan, this is Michael Jordan. I am so excited to watch you win a gold medal," Jordan, 61, wrote. "Here’s to wishing you nothing but good luck." The six-time NBA champion suggested he and Chiles "catch up" after the Games, and said, "Hope to see you soon." In a sweet afterthought, Jordan added, "btw love the name." My Olympic experience is only beginning, and I thank God everyday!!" Chiles' message from Jordan is especially meaningful considering her first name was inspired by the sports icon. "She just decided, 'You know what? I'm going to make my child after him and see where life takes her.'" "I'm crossing my fingers that I'll actually be able to meet him and just get his advice for being somebody that looks up to him, what he gives out," she said.
