The Stranger Things alum spoke with PEOPLE about the pair's new post-apocalyptic thriller A Quiet Place: Day One, where he said they chatted about his entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Quinn, 30, is set to portray Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch, in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, while Nyong'o, 41, has appeared as Nakia in the Black Panther films. "She said that I'm going to have a blast and to enjoy it. She was very helpful when I was considering all of that stuff," he says. Jeff Spicer/Getty Everything to Know About Marvel's The Fantastic Four Disney confirmed the official cast list for The Fantastic Four in February with artwork featuring Quinn's character plus Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). The Fantastic Four, which is slated for a 2025 release, will be the third big-screen adaptation of the comics of the same name, following the 2005 version starring Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis, and the 2015 movie starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell. Quinn says Evans, 43, and Jordan, 37, have given him "big boots to fill, twice" after their respective portrayals of Johnny Storm. "They're both brilliant actors and did an amazing job with their interpretation," he says. "So I think it's a question of trying to find something ... well, not different. It's going to come from me, I guess." "I've definitely been inspired by their portrayals, so we'll see how it goes," adds the Gladiator II actor. She reveals to PEOPLE what some of those rules are. "Say nothing," she says, joking, "Let's see ... steal something. Take [behind-the-scenes] pictures, even if they tell you not to." Asked if she knew Quinn before making A Quiet Place: Day One, the Oscar winner says she didn't, but loved his "captivating" performance as Eddie Munson in season 4 of Stranger Things and "was very much looking forward to" meeting him and working together. "I remember meeting him at the camera test and we said hello, introduced ourselves, and I asked him, 'How are you doing?' " she recalls. "He said, 'I'm a little nervous.' I said, 'I'm a little nervous too.' That was the first sign that we were open to being vulnerable together." The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now!
