Katie Krause Mork Welcomes Baby Girl No. 2, Thanks Doctors Who 'Saved Her Life' During Delivery: 'So Grateful'

Katie Krause Mork is officially a girl mom of two!

The former Extra correspondent, 38, and her husband Jason welcomed their second baby together, daughter Emma Erin Mork, on Thursday, Aug. 8, Krause Mork shared in an Instagram post on Sunday, Aug. 11.

Baby Emma arrived at 2:53 p.m. and weighed 6 lbs, 3 oz. at birth. The couple noted that the newborn made her "big debut early" as Krause Mork was "scheduled for delivery on August 13 at a tad over 37 weeks."

"I will share more later but our doctors literally saved her life. 🥹," the Between Us Moms podcast host shared. "I went in for a second NST and they noticed her heart wasn’t quite doing what it should be. I had been having some blood pressure spikes the past few weeks but blood work was normal and I did not have pre-eclampsia. I got hooked up to an ultrasound after the failed NST and was immediately sent to the hospital."

"J rushed home from work and I drove myself to the hospital — contractions were two minutes apart. Our little M&M babe was born via a second c-section less than two hours later. What a day. Turns out the cord was wrapped around her neck 🥺. She is thriving though and needed zero nicu time for being a 36 weeker! She’s eating like a champ, sounds like a baby dragon and is as cute as can be."

"We are so grateful to our doctors for running these tests and keeping close tabs on our Emma," she continued, adding that their firstborn daughter Kaia, whom they welcomed June 2023, "already seems to love her baby sis too."

"Now time to continue soaking in the newborn snuggles and sleepless nights Our family of 4 is complete. 🤗," she concluded the post.

Krause Mork revealed that she was pregnant with her second baby in February, a rep for the couple confirmed to PEOPLE.

"After everything we went through to welcome our first daughter, this truly feels like a tiny miracle and our hearts couldn't be fuller," Krause Mork told PEOPLE at the time. "We're beyond excited and feeling really blessed and can't wait to meet our baby girl!"

The couple said they found out the exciting pregnancy news before Christmas that they "miraculously conceived our second daughter naturally."

The pair also shared some exclusive photos with PEOPLE from their sex reveal, which showed Krause Mork carrying Kaia and her husband holding up a sonogram photo.

After posing with their daughter, the soon-to-be dad of two popped a confetti cannon that revealed the two were expecting another girl.

"My little sister is my best friend," added Krause Mork, "and I'm feeling so fortunate and privileged that Kaia will also have a little sister."
