Lenny Kravitz is sharing new details about his daughter Zoë Kravitz's upcoming wedding to Channing Tatum.

During an appearance on BBC's Zoe Ball and Friends podcast on May 31, the 60-year-old musician hinted that the big day is coming soon.

"We're going to have a wedding next year," said Lenny, who was joined on the podcast by comedian Harry Hill and Jon Bon Jovi, whose own child, son Jake Bongiovi, just tied the knot with Millie Bobby Brown earlier this month.

Asked if he plans to perform at Zoë's wedding, Lenny quickly dismissed the idea, sharing that he'll be off-duty that day. "I don't think so. [I'll] just be hanging out," he said.

The "American Woman" singer had high praise for his future-son-law, calling Tatum, 44, "a really great guy."

"He was raised well. So, you know, he's got manners. He's charming. He's a soulful human being," he said. "And so, he's become part of the family quite quickly. He fits, and they're in love."

Back in March, Lenny shared that he and Tatum have forged their own special relationship since Zoë and the Magic Mike star began dating in 2021. "We get on really well," the rocker said during an appearance on Sherri. "We hang out, and we talk."

"He's a very soulful human being. He was raised well. He has manners and class," he added of Tatum.

Lenny also revealed on Sherri that Zoë had him meet Tatum early on in their romance, and recalled having an immediate and "very natural rapport" with the actor.

"Like I said, he's very sweet, and it works," he said. "Life is about timing and what you've gone through, what you've learned, and they're in the right place."

It seems Tatum feels equally comfortable in his relationship with Lenny, as he recently teased his future father-in-law over one of his ubiquitous shirtless photos. In March, Lenny posted a snapshot of himself outside, wearing nothing but a pair of jeans and showing off his muscular physique, with the caption: "Standing in love and gratitude."

Tatum left a joking message in the comments, writing, “Jesus Christmas Lenny, wtf you’re gonna hurt someone on this platform. Hahaha."

PEOPLE confirmed in October 2023 that Zoë and Tatum had gotten engaged after the pair were photographed leaving a Halloween party together. At the time, the Big Little Lies star sported an engagement ring on her left hand.

In April, a source told PEOPLE that the couple is "really excited" about their upcoming wedding. “They’re actively wedding planning and working through all the details,” the source said.

As for Lenny, while he doesn't plan to perform at the nuptials, he does intend to give a heartfelt father-of-the-bride speech in honor of the newlyweds. But he won't be putting pen to paper and writing his speech ahead of time.

The "Are You Gonna Go My Way?" singer told Entertainment Tonight in January that he plans to speak off the cuff. "It just comes at the moment. I don't rehearse those things," he explained, adding that his words will come "from the heart."
