The star, 37, made a surprise appearance at the New York premiere of Mean Girls, the musical based on the Broadway show based on the 2004 film — in which Lohan famously starred! She walked the red carpet dressed in a totally fetch look that proved she's not a regular mom, she's a cool mom. In fact, when asked if she identifies as a "cool mom," Lohan -- who welcomed son Luai with husband Bader Shammas in July -- told PEOPLE exclusively, "I hope so!" The actress wore a long-sleeved black dress by Alexandre Vauthier that had a gorgeous cutout bejeweled with silver crystals. Fey's husband, Jeff Richmond, wrote the original songs for the musical with lyrics by Nell Benjamin, and Kyle Hanagami, well-known for his viral YouTube videos, is choreographing the film.
