A Michigan woman is charged with murder in connection with the death of a 4-month-old baby she was babysitting.

Savannah Marie Miller was charged with murder following the death of Renzi McCall in Reed City, Mich., according to reports from Fox 17, WZZM and Cadillac News

It is not immediately clear if Miller has entered a plea or retained an attorney.

Fox 17 reported that Miller was initially charged with child abuse, but the charge was elevated to murder after the baby was taken off life support on July 25, four days after being taken to the hospital.

Citing Renzi’s grandfather, Jeremiah White, WZZM reported that Miller is the girlfriend of the baby’s mother.

White told the outlet that the baby’s entire body was bruised and that she suffered brain swelling and seizures before her death.

Citing police and prosecutors, Cadillac News reports that Miller is accused of assaulting the baby while her mother was at work.
