Lady Gaga has responded to Piers Morgan‘s online commentary about PTSD in the wake of her own revelation that she suffers from the disorder.

Taking to Twitter early Tuesday morning, Gaga wrote to the British media personality, “I’ve work[sic] w/ our VP Joe Biden on helping educate people about why women don’t report, would love to share it w/ you some time.”

She added, “@piersmorgan would also love to talk with you about PTSD, that it’s not just a ‘military’ disorder. There is a mental health youth epidemic.”

During an interview with Today last week, Gaga revealed that she told homeless, LGBTQ teens at the Ali Forney Center in New York City, ” ‘I suffer from PTSD.’ ” Gaga has also been vocal about being raped as a teenager, even taking the stage with other sexual assault survivors at this year’s Oscars, where she was nominated for Best Original Song for her ballad “Til It Happens To You.”

Morgan issued his stance on the subject on Twitter last weekend, writing, “It angers me when celebrities start claiming ‘PTSD’ about everything to promote themselves.”

He further called the disorder “the latest celebrity accessory.”

Then, addressing Gaga’s sexual assault, Morgan wrote, “Lady Gaga & Madonna have both made ALLEGATIONS of rape many years after the event. No police complaint, no charges, no court case.”

He added to another user, “I don’t think all claims of rape should be necessarily accepted as fact without proper criminal investigation, do you?”

Responding to Gaga on Tuesday, Morgan wrote, “Let’s do an interview about this & you can tell me why I’m wrong to be sceptical[sic].”

Directly answering Gaga’s message that she hopes anyone Morgan knows suffering from PTSD has “more good days than bad,” the 51-year-old wrote, “I know numerous soldiers with PTSD, it’s a very serious thing. I also know people who claim to have it but clearly don’t. Let’s talk…”

After asking Gaga if she could “handle” him, the 30-year-old wrote, “Yes Mr. Morgan, I can handle u.”

“Yes,” the Brit answered. “@ladygaga, we have a deal. I’ll get my people to contact your people. It’s an important debate.”

He added, “I rather admire @ladygaga for agreeing to an interview after my criticisms. Should be a fascinating debate. I’ll press my meat suit.”

Gaga took offense to Morgan’s jab about her infamous 2010 VMAs meat dress, writing back, “@piersmorgan if you continue to shame me in the process of kindly agreeing to interview w/ u I’ll happily do the interview with someone else.”

Morgan was quick to backtrack, saying, “Ok. If you’re big enough to do this, I’m big enough to play fair too.”

There’s no word yet if and when the sit-down will take place, but Morgan’s followers seem excited.

Wrote one, “@piersmorgan is a good interviewer. @ladygaga will impress him. This is a great opportunity for both. I look forward to this.”
