Singers such as Usher and Mariah Carey are renowned for creating baby-making music. But it turns out some of those sultry tunes may also serve as inspiration for the artists themselves when it comes to setting the mood. (And with catalogs that contain hits such as "Trading Places" and "The Roof," respectively, it's easy to see why.)

However, for fellow musicians such as Nick Jonas and John Mayer, the thought of playing their own songs in the bedroom is a bit too much.

Read on to see which celebrities are open to making love to their own music — and which stars will skip to the next song.

One star who is proud to bump to his own tunes in bed? Usher. The R&B crooner admitted on Oprah's Next Chapter that he often plays his music while getting down. "Some may say this would be rather narcissistic, but yeah," the singer revealed.

Megan Thee Stallion is known for her racy lyrics, however, when it comes to doing the do herself, this hottie prefers radio silence.

"I be f---ing to silence," the rapper said during a YouTube livestream with Cardi B back in September 2023. "I really want you to hear my booty clapping, and I want you to hear the skin-to-skin [contact]."

Though Doja Cat hasn't done the horizontal mambo with her own music playing in the background, she is not opposed to the idea.

The "Say So" rapper revealed during a "Fine Art" segment for Cosmopolitan that "I think I would. I haven't yet, but I think I would."

The idea of playing his own music in the bedroom was quite appalling to Nick Jonas, who vehemently shut it down when speaking to the New York Post back in 2014. "No, absolutely not, you can't do that! That'd be so uncomfortable."

Mariah Carey's ex-husband, Nick Cannon, revealed that they had hooked up to her music — and she was not thrilled that he was so open about it. "Yes, I have. She didn't like the fact that I told the world we have sex to her music, but it was true!" Cannon told Amber Rose in 2016.

"Can you imagine having sex with Mariah Carey while Mariah Carey is playing in the back? That is a dream come true!" he exclaimed.

"You never listen to your own music while making love?" Corden asked, and when the singer denied it, he asked a few more times. "Ever? Really?"

This guitar-trotting crooner is a known ladies' man and with a catalog that features songs such as "Your Body Is a Wonderland," "Love Is a Verb" and "Love on the Weekend," people may assume he brings those sultry songs to the bedroom.

That assumption is wrong.

While on his pal Andy Cohen's SiriusXM show, John Mayer was asked if he would ever put his own music on while "making love." The Sob Rock singer said, "No. I think people think I would, but I wouldn't."

"That's very looking at yourself in the mirror ... I wanna forget myself as much as I possibly can," he added of his intimate moments.

While Beyoncé has never explicitly said that she gets down to her own songs, in her documentary, Life Is But a Dream, she seemed to imply that it happens. "If I'm scared, be scared, allow it, release it, move on," Beyoncé said, adding, "I think I need to go listen to 'Make Love to Me' and make love to my husband."

You'd think the man behind "Pony" wouldn't hesitate when it comes to playing the classic hit in order to set the mood. However, having his music on in the bedroom is a hard pass for Ginuwine.

"No," the Grammy-nominated musician told TMZ when asked if he ever puts on any of his sexy tunes. "Absolutely not."
