Penélope Cruz Celebrates Her 50th Birthday with Star-Studded Bash — See the Photos!

Penélope Cruz celebrated turning 50 in style.

On April 28, the day of her birthday, the actress reposted photos on her Instagram Stories from her star-studded bash where she marked the milestone.

In a snap shared by Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci, Cruz flashed a smile as she posed with friends including Irina Shayk.

The star looked stylish as she sported a cut-out black top, blue jeans and a black Chanel handbag. “HB @penelopecruzofficial,” Tisci wrote beneath the photo. 

Cruz then reposted another shot with model Shayk, 38. In the photo, the friends rested their heads against one another as they posed for the camera.

“Happiest bday to the most beautiful woman on earth !!!! Kind, sweet and funny and the best mama @penelopecruzofficial,” Shayk captioned across the picture, adding a series of red heart emojis.

Tisci also shared a video of many of Cruz’s loved ones singing “Cumpleños Feliz,” which means happy birthday in Spanish.

“✨✨What a magical night….We are all so lucky ✨✨Happy Birthday 🤍,” his caption read as Cruz’s actor husband Javier Bardem could be seen cuddling her from behind in the clip.

Cruz then jumped up and down and clapped her hands once everyone had finished singing, while a birthday cake with candles was also on display.

Actress Salma Hayek also sent her birthday wishes to close pal.

"Happy Birthday Penelope 🎂. Thank you God for sending to Earth a special number of years ago an angel," Hayek, 57, wrote under a carousel of photos of the pair together through the years.

"All of us whose [SIC] crossed paths with her know that she’s made our life crazy, exciting, meaningful, inspiring and taught us the meaning of solidarity and loyalty with so much love," she added.

"Thank you, to you Penelope, for the little angels that you’ve mothered into this world. You are an extraordinary woman, and every year even more. ❤️," she wrote, before adding a Spanish translation of her message.

Meanwhile, a source told PEOPLE how Cruz was feeling about hitting the milestone.

“She is fulfilled, in a solid marriage, and has a happy life,” the source said. “Penelope is fine with turning 50 and believes the early years of working all of the time paid off but are behind her. Now she can pick and choose. And she is quite content with how everything has turned out for her.”
