Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy Announce Name of Their Baby Boy as They Post New Pic: 'Fam Is Complete'

Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are introducing their baby boy to the world!

The couple revealed the name of their newborn son on Friday, July 12, as they posted their first close-up snap of their newborn son on Instagram.

“💙 Milan Maksim Chmerkovskiy 💙,” Murgatroyd, 37, and Chmerkovskiy, 44, announced in a joint post. “Born 8.48am 〰️ 7/12/24 〰️ 8 pounds.”

“The fam is complete,” the happy parents added. 

In the photo, Milan looked peaceful with his eyes closed. The baby boy rested one hand against his head and another on the blanket he was wrapped up in as Murgatroyd cradled him in a hospital bed.

The name reveal comes after Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy announced the birth of their baby boy earlier in the day on Instagram, sharing a photo of themselves holding him in hospital.

“He is officially evicted from his mom and he is sooooo cute!!!!” The pair wrote in a joint post. “Birth details later but for now we wanted to let you all know that mom and baby are doing perfect, and delivery took around 47 seconds total! Exactly one push! … #madeinPeta #threepeat 🏆🏆🏆.”

Murgatroyd reshared both posts on her Instagram Stories as she wrote, “He’s here 💙,” over the birth announcement post along with a brightly-colored animated message that read, “Welcome to the world!” over the close up shot of her son.

Chmerkovskiy also reshared the posts of their baby boy, writing excitedly over the top, “Mom and dad of three!!!” over the first post the couple had shared.

“Today was a fantastic day!!!” he added over the most recent photo of their son. “Welcome to the fam Milan!!!”

Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy have been married seven years and already share two sons Shai, 7, and Rio, 12 months.

The couple announced that they were expecting their third child on Instagram in February.

Hours before welcoming their son, Chermerkovskiy made a solo appearance at the 2024 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 11.

The Dancing with the Stars alum told PEOPLE at the ceremony that he was ready to make a dash from the event as his wife was due to give birth at any minute. 

“I mean I’m about to run to see the sign that you have a third child,” he said.

Luckily, the father of three made it in time to meet his baby boy!
