My Dog’s Water Stays Clean All Day Thanks to This Clever Gadget That Keeps Her Hydrated

As with most dog owners, I am in constant search for the best products to keep my pet happy and healthy. While she has a decent collection of stimulating toys and comfy beds, I realized there are effective products that can improve her water consumption, too. 

On a recent trip to my parents’ house, my dog quickly took to their pet fountain. I was immediately drawn to the design of the fountain. It’s made from a heavy ceramic, which is ideal if your pet likes to swat or nudge bowls, and the two-tiered design gives it an elevated look. It comes in three neutral colors, including white, blue, and taupe, and I opted for the all-white style so it would fit seamlessly in my kitchen. 

While design is important for a bowl this size, there were other features that made it stand out. Because the bowl has two tiers, my dog is able to drink from the upper fountain without having to strain her neck by bending over. It also holds 70 ounces of water, which is more than double the capacity of her last bowl, so I no longer need to refill it multiple times a day. 

One of my favorite features of this bowl is the filtration. It has a replaceable charcoal filter to remove bad tastes and odors from the water as well as a foam filter that picks up hair and debris. Plus, the constantly circulating free-falling stream of water reduces the risk of bacteria growth, adds more oxygen, and keeps it fresh. 

I will admit that the sound of constantly running water took a few days to get used to, but I now find it relaxing and soothing. Plus, my dog seems to love it, which feels like a win-win.
