Ree Drummond is sharing details about her recent dental procedure and how 'elated' she felt to have her wisdom tooth removed without sedation.

The Pioneer Woman star, 54, posted about the experience on her Instagram Story during what appears to have been a New Year's Eve outing.

"I am 54 years old, and I got one of my wisdom teeth pulled 2 days ago," Drummond wrote over a photo with her daughter Paige, 24, and Paige's friend Anna.

"I even asked the oral surgeon if I could take my wisdom tooth home. He said yes. I declined," she added in the next shot.

Drummond included an arrow to her neck, pointing out her swollen gland.

"I also declined sedation," Drummond shared in a third post. "It made me feel alive. It reminded me of my one natural childbirth (Bryce). I felt elated afterward! Ok bye."

Concluding the series, the mom of five wrote, "I miss my toofie," with a tooth emoji.

In recent years, Drummond has expressed a desire to take more control of her health and lifestyle habits. In February 2022, the Pioneer Woman Cooks author announced a 55-lb weight loss.

She shared the habits that she strives to continually incorporate into her life: portion control, scaling back on alcohol, lifting weights, and being more active in general.

It appears Drummond has changed some holiday traditions, too.

On Dec. 27, Drummond shared in a blog post that she and her family were switching it up for New Year's this year.

While she and her husband, Ladd Drummond, typically throw a party at the pizzeria they own in their hometown of Pawhuska, Okla., the couple decided to travel to Colorado this year.

"In the past, we've thrown a big party at P-Town Pizza, but this year we'll be in Vail, CO," she wrote. "We've never gone for New Year's Eve, so we're excited."

In an Instagram Story posted in Colorado with her daughters Paige and Alex, 26 (before her tooth series), Ree shared, "I gave birth to them."
