Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are sharing the first photos of their baby boy.

The "Diamonds" singer, 35, and her partner, 34, took a series of photos together, introducing their newborn son Riot Rose to the world for the first time. The pictures, which also feature the couple's son RZA, 16 months, marked the first time the family of four posed for a family photo.

In the photos, Rihanna poses with her newborn son, who is wrapped in a baby blanket and tucked tight into his mom. There are also a few solo photos of Rocky holding Riot, gazing down at his baby son's face, which is turned to the camera.

The new family of four poses together for several pictures, with RZA sitting on his dad's shoulders and Rihanna holding Riot. The family laughs together, walks down the stairs, and poses for a few serious shots.

In one photo, Rocky holds both RZA and Riot while Rihanna's hands reach out to give her baby son his pacifier.

Other pictures show Riot lying on a blanket inside, looking up at his parents as they gaze down at him. Rihanna can also be seen holding her son up for the camera, who wears an oversized pink onesie.

The couple also included a few photos of the older brother RZA, who stands with the help of one of his parents. RZA wears a tiny leather jacket and looks at the camera.

Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their second son in August 2022. Although they didn't initially share their son's name or details regarding his birth, PEOPLE obtained his birth certificate later in the month.

The certificate revealed that the couple named their newborn son Riot Rose Mayers. He was born on Aug. 1, 2023, at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m.

It is the pair’s second baby name that starts with the letter “R,” and is a possible ode to a family of first names all beginning with the same letter. (Rocky’s legal name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers.)

Sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple welcomed their second baby together in August, with an insider telling PEOPLE that "Rihanna feels her family is now complete" and "it’s something she’s always wanted."

The "Umbrella" singer announced her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show in Phoenix, making history as the first pregnant woman to star in the show.

A rep for Rihanna confirmed the news to PEOPLE later that night, after the singer rubbed her stomach and left the zipper of her red jumpsuit, layered over a close-fitting bodysuit and sculpted bandeau, down to reveal her baby bump.

The Barbados native appeared on the March cover of British Vogue alongside Rocky and their then 9-month-old son RZA, sharing that she and Rocky had "no one" with them when bringing their firstborn son home from the hospital after his birth in May.

"We came home, cold turkey, had no one. It was just us as parents and our baby," she shared.

Though the birth was "beautiful," she admitted to feeling a "head-f---" from the whole experience.

"I cannot believe it," she said at the time. "Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It's nuts. And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You don't sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to."

"Man, you're a zombie for the most part," she continued. "You're just going through the motions and even then you're so paranoid. Because you're like: they trusted us to come home with this baby? This new life? With us?" She started to laugh. "No doctors, no nurses, we're just… going home?"

Speaking to new motherhood, Rihanna said her first few months were "legendary" with the infant.

"It's everything. You really don't remember life before, that's the craziest thing ever," she said. "You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don't identify with it because you don't even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because…. Because it doesn't matter."

In the same interview, she also said that her daily routine had shifted since welcoming RZA. "It changed a lot, but you're just at the same constant. You're of service. Literally that is it. You are joyful when you get the time to shower," she told the publication.

"I remember in the beginning I used to roll his bassinet into the bathroom and be showering and like wiping the fog off [the glass] just to peep at him," Rihanna said. She also revealed that she loved mornings with her son the most. "Those were always my favorite, his little wake-up face, seeing his face change, seeing his color come in, just all of these changes."

In February, the music superstar chatted with retired NFL player and host Nate Burleson on the inaugural episode of his podcast, The Process with Nate Burleson, where she was asked about her then-upcoming performance at the Super Bowl and life as a mother.

"I'm living for my son," Rihanna said on the iHeart/NFL podcast. "Everything matters now. You really start to take a lot into account."

"Skydiving?! You really think about stuff like that — it's not worth it," she added."Everything is different, life before my son seems very obscure. It's very small and cloudy, it just got better with him."

Rihanna also noted that raising their baby boy has been a bit of a challenge — but a rewarding one at that. "It's so much hard work, but nothing is more fulfilling than that," she explained.

Rocky and Rihanna have been open about their parenting styles, as the singer previously told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4 that son RZA was an "amazing" and "happy" baby.

"Oh my God, the mornings, like, seeing his morning face," she said of her favorite aspects of motherhood. "Seeing a baby with, like, little bags and waking up and they're just, like, startled. They're trying to figure out where they're at. It's the cutest, it's my favorite part of the day."

Rihanna waited until December 2022 to share the first video of the then-7-month-old baby boy. At the time, the singer posted a cute clip on TikTok of the little one wiggling around in his car seat. Although the pair have now shared their first born son's name, in November 2022 they had yet to do so. Rihanna told the Associated Press that they'd eventually share their son's name with the world.

"We just didn't get around to it yet really," she told the outlet. "We've just been living. But I guess there's a certain freedom that comes with kind of just, like, getting it out there."

During a press conference held by Apple Music earlier this year, the musician talked about preparing for her Super Bowl performance at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

"When you become a mom, there's something that just happens where you feel like you can take on the world," Rihanna said. "You can do anything, and the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. So, as scary as that was... there's something exhilarating about the challenge of it all, and it's important for me to do this year. It's important for representation. It's important for my son to see that."

The "Diamonds" singer also explained what it was like to prepare her body for the performance less than a year after giving birth. "The physical challenge has definitely been immense for many reasons, of course. I haven't done this in a minute. You're just running around for 13 minutes, trying to put a 2-hour set in 13 minutes, and you're gonna see on Sunday," Rihanna said.

"From the time it starts, it just never ends until it's the very last second. … It's a jam-packed show, and it takes a toll on your body, it really does."

In May 2022, Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their first son together. A source close to the couple told PEOPLE at the time that they were at home in Los Angeles with the baby.

"Rihanna is doing well. They are very excited to be parents. Rihanna is already a wonderful mom," said the source.

The Grammy winner first revealed in January 2022 that she was expecting her first child with Rocky. After she was photographed debuting her baby bump in New York City, a source told PEOPLE that Rihanna was "excited to be a mom" and "couldn't be happier."

"Everything Rihanna does, she does it her own way on her own time table, and having a baby is no different," the source said, adding that Rihanna and Rocky were over the moon about their baby on the way. "They're just like any other pair of parents-to-be. Yes, they happen to be famous but they're just the cutest, giddiest young couple that's expecting kids."

Although the two were happy to welcome their son, Rihanna told Vogue in April 2022 that they weren' initially prepared to expand their family. "Planning? I wouldn't say planning. But certainly not planning against it," Rihanna told Vogue in April 2022. "I always thought it would be marriage first, then a baby, but who the f--- says it has to be that way. I'm certainly not gonna let that get in the way of me being a mom."
