Shania Twain Rocks Bright Red Hair for Surprise Performance with Foo Fighters

Shania Twain is rocking out in red!

The country star co-headlined the Austin City Limits festival with the Foo Fighters on Saturday and surprised fans by joining the rock band to perform "Best of You" to close out the night.

Debuting bright red locks and a bedazzled silver ensemble with sparkly fishnets, Twain, 58, hustled from her stage to join Dave Grohl and his bandmates for the surprise collaboration.

"This was one off the bucket list for me!" Twain later wrote on Instagram alongside images of herself and the band. "Firstly thank you to @foofighters for inviting me on stage — you are all so generous and ridiculously cool."

"I am a huge rock fan," she added. "My first band was a rock band, my first big producer was one of the worlds renowned rock producers, me and my son like to rock out 😂 Totally worth the adrenaline fuelled run from my stage to yours Dave Grohl — you are a true friend and talent ❤️"

In a picture taken earlier that day, Twain showed a more dressed-down look, wearing ripped jeans and a white tee while posing with the band backstage.

"I loved this one so much! ❤️‍🔥," Twain wrote of the overall night in a follow-up post. "My @aclfestival crowd partied with me through the whole set and I came off stage absolutely buzzing with all the awesome energy! What a trip!"

"Saturday night in Austin ain’t no joke and I get why they do it twice," Twain continued. "sorry to miss next weekend but gotta get back to #QueenOfMeTour 😘 Special shout out to the front row for giving ATTITUDE during don’t impress 😂💅"

Other big acts at the festival on Saturday included The 1975, Alanis Morissette and Jared Leto's band, Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Twain will remain in Texas for the next two stops of her tour, which take place in San Antonio on Oct. 12 and Fort Worth on Oct. 13, with performances continuing through December.

The five-time Grammy winner kicks off her "Come On Over" Las Vegas residency in May 2024 at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for a total of 24 scheduled shows through December 2024.
