Suki Waterhouse is getting candid about what it's like to raise a child in the public eye.

As a guest on the Thursday, Sept. 12 episode of Emma Chamberlain's podcast Anything Goes, the singer, 32, shared how raising her nearly 6-month-old daughter with actor fiancé Robert Pattinson is becoming increasingly more difficult as her little one tries exploring the outside world.

"I think it's gonna get harder and harder," the mom of one admitted. "Obviously I would really like to not have her face shown or anything like that. That would be like my ideal. But I also think that I have to be kind of a realist about the kind of world that we live in."

The Daisy Jones and The Six actress continued, "And now she's almost six months. She wants to look at flowers and touch things and, like, be out in the world."

"That's been a little bit more intense," she added.

Waterhouse explained that with her daughter's growing curiosity, she's become conflicted between her desire to protect her daughter from fans and paparazzi, and wanting to show her the world around her.

"I want to shield her from that, but I also wanna take her for a walk and sit at a cafe and take her out," she shared. "And someone might, like, they probably are going to take a picture and they probably are gonna show her face. And you don't actually get, like, there are laws but they go around them."

"You have to be kind of a realist and not be devastated and wind yourself up so much, because we live in the most insane world," Waterhouse continued.

"If she's going to have a life where I bring her out, that's what I care about more," she said. "I care more about me being peaceful and being able to show her the world than hiding her inside and stuff like that. It's like that I want her to have a cool life."

At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday, Sept. 11, Waterhouse spoke with Access Hollywood, sharing that she had the "best day" showing her daughter around New York City.

"I've had the best day with her today, and showing her around New York City is heaven," she said. "It's the best. And it's just getting more and more fun."
