Anna Nicole Smith

Anna Nicole Smith (née Vickie Lynn Hogan) was an American model and actress. She first gained recognition in Playboy when she was named 1993 Playmate of the Year. Smith starred on the E! reality TV series The Anna Nicole Show from 2002 to 2004. She also appeared in 1994's Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult and 2005's Be Cool.  Smith was infamous for marrying 89-year-old billionaire J. Howard Marshall in 1994 when she was 26 years old. After Marshall died in 1995, a legal battle ensued between Smith and Marshall's son, E. Pierce Marshall, over his estate. The heavily protracted litigation eventually reached the Supreme Court twice and continued even after Smith died of an accidental drug overdose in February 2007.
