David Bowie

David Bowie (né David Robert Jones) was a British singer and actor. Bowie sold millions of records over the course of his career, and his most popular songs include "Fame," "Under Pressure" with Queen and "Let's Dance." He released his first album, David Bowie, in 1967. Bowie released 25 more full-length studio albums in his career, as well as live albums, compilation albums, EPs and more. He released his last studio album, Blackstar, in 2016. The album Toy was released in 2022 after Bowie's death. His music earned him 17 Grammy nominations, and he took home six trophies for his work. Bowie was also an actor. His most notable role was as Jareth in Labyrinth (1986), and he also had supporting parts in The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) and The Prestige (2006). Bowie was married to Mary Angela Barnett from in 1970 to 1980. Their son, Duncan, was born in 1971. He was married to model Iman from 1992 until his death in 2016. Their daughter, Alexandria, was born in 2000. He died in 2016 at his home in New York.
