The Bachelorette: Jenn Thinks She Might've Found Her 'Forever Person' as She Accuses 1 Man of 'Making Decisions for Me'

Jenn Tran headed to Australia for her first round of Bachelorette dates — and it didn’t take long for the men to cause some thunder down under.

“I’m very excited about my very hot, hot men,” Jenn, 26, said in an on-camera interview during the July 15 episode.

Sam N., Marvin, Brian, Jonathon, Aaron, Grant, Jeremy and Devin embarked on the first group date of the season, which saw them exploring Melbourne with Jenn.

The group tried Vegemite and local whiskey. “It was like soy sauce peanut butter,” Grant, 30, told the cameras of the former.

Devin, 28, pulled Jenn away from the other men to take her for ice cream, a move that Aaron, 29, thought “kind of crossed the line.”

When they all reconvened, Jenn brought the guys to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and asked them to put together their own sets. On stage, Jeremy, 29, called Devin ugly and Aaron referred to the freight company owner as a “budget Pete Davidson.”

At the afterparty, Jenn told the men, “You really showed your silly sides and I’m excited to see all the different sides of you guys.”

Jonathon, 27, pulled Jenn to talk first and they discussed his quirky socks. While Grant asked Jenn what shaped her into the woman that she is, Aaron decided to confront Devin about his move earlier in the date.

“I don’t feel like you’re ready for someone like Jenn,” Aaron said to Devin.

Devin retorted, “I haven’t seen you take charge, and I don’t think he that she wants someone that’s going to sit around and focus on what other people are doing.”

The aerospace engineer continued to call Devin “delusional” for thinking he had a chance with Jenn. “I kind of doubt your intentions,” Aaron said.

When Aaron got time with Jenn, he told her he could be “a little passive when it comes to asserting myself.”

But Devin didn’t hold back. He interrupted Aaron’s time with Jenn with more ice cream. “I’ve got dessert, but only for two,” Devin said to Aaron and Jenn.

Devin tried to play it cool, but Aaron told him, “I do mind.”

“I’m not asking,” Devin responded.

Aaron pulled the same move right back on Devin, interjecting his time with Jenn, and then Devin jumped in once more.

“We’re not going to fight out here,” Jenn said to both men.

Devin ended his time with Jenn with a kiss, but she gave the date rose to Grant because he “makes me so excited for the future,” she said.

ONE-ON-ONE DATE

Marcus scored the first one-on-one date of the season, and that gave him the honor of accompanying Jenn to face her fear of skydiving.

“I’m terrified,” Jenn admitted.

The instructor informed Jenn and Marcus, 31, that they’d be jumping from 15,000 feet in the air and when they did, the physician assistant student said it felt “kind of like a dream.”

“I’m so happy Marcus is here to help me take this leap,” Jenn told the cameras. “He showed up for me, and I need that.”

The pair made out after landing and then proceeded to dinner. There, Marcus told Jenn about his experience serving as an army ranger and getting “seriously injured in a fire fight.”

“I wouldn’t have known that you’ve been through all of that,” Jenn said to Marcus. “I feel like you’re so resilient and you’re so strong for overcoming all that and also being able to share it.”

Jenn ended the date by giving Marcus a rose and saying she felt “over the move.”

“I could see a future with Marcus and I could see him being my forever person,” she continued. “I could see us falling in love with each other and it feels like the start of something really good.”

SECOND GROUP DATE

For the last group date of the week, Jenn and the guys partook in a photo shoot with some wild animals. At the end of the date, Jenn would pick one man to spend more time with over dinner.

Hakeem’s eyes widened when the photographer asked him to pose with a tarantula, but he eventually did it. But Jenn ultimately selected Dylan for the dinner date.

“You just being there for me was huge,” Jenn said to the 24-year-old medical student. “I’ve never really had that before.”

Jenn continued to tell Dylan what she looked for in a relationship. “I’ve been through a lot of toxic relationships,” she began. “What I’m really looking for is just someone who loves hard and someone who’s right for me, who I feel like is right in my gut. A true partnership.”

Dylan said his parents got married within six months of meeting and he wanted to model his marriage off of theirs. He also owned up to feeling “kind of insecure about being in a house full of amazing guys who bring a lot to the table” and wondered if he shouldn’t be on the show.

Jenn reassured Dylan that he brought a lot to the table, too, and didn't end the night before giving him a rose. “I see a lot of myself in Dylan,” she said to the cameras.

Back at the house, Aaron confronted Devin again. “You were very arrogant in that moment,” Aaron said.

Devin offered somewhat of an apology. “I’m sorry for the way that I handled things at the end of the night, but I didn’t appreciate that you were calling into question my character and my depth,” he said to Aaron.

Aaron called Devin “Dylan,” and Devin did not appreciate that. “You’re asking me about my depth, but you don’t even know my name,” Devin pointed out.

Aaron told Devin that he viewed him as a bully and gave him a copy of a self-help book titled Principles for Self-Growth. “Thanks man, I really appreciate it,” Devin quipped.

COCKTAIL PARTY AND ROSE CEREMONY

Devin made more enemies at the cocktail party when he pulled Jenn to talk first. Some of the guys thought Devin had promised that the men who didn’t get time with Jenn after the animal photo shoot could talk to her first.

Thomas N. interrupted Devin and Jenn — to talk to Devin.

“You sat in front of me and eight men yesterday and said, ‘Hey, hey, you guys get first,’” Thomas N., 31, alleged.

Devin refuted that. “Somebody has to go first, why does it matter?” he asked the retirement adviser.

Jenn overhead the conversation and when Devin returned to the group, he told the other men that he “took the high road” by talking to her first “so the rest of my boys can do it unimpeded by Devin.”

Once Thomas N. did talk to Jenn, she asked him why he thought interrupting her “was necessary.” Thomas N. explained that the men from the second group date came to an agreement that they’d be the initial ones to chat with her at the cocktail party, with Austin planning to go first.

“Then you guys are making decisions for me,” Jenn said. “You’re taking my independence out of that, and I don’t really think that’s in your power.”

Thomas N. understood, and Jenn also pointed out that “anybody” had the opportunity to pull her first.

Jenn’s night took a positive turn, though, when first impression rose recipient Sam M. stopped in for a makeout session. “You make me a little flustered and I don’t like that,” Jenn said.

At the rose ceremony, Jenn extended roses to Austin, Hakeem, Spencer, Jeremy, Jonathon, John, Thomas A., Sam M., Devin, Sam N., Aaron and Tomas A.
