After three seasons, The D’Amelio Show will not be returning.

PEOPLE confirmed on Thursday, June 27, that the family's Hulu series is not moving forward after a mutual decision between the streamer and the D’Amelios.

The first season of the show began airing in September 2021 and continued for three years. Throughout the series, sisters Charli, 20, and Dixie, 22, who found fame making viral TikTok videos, shared the behind-the-scenes dynamic within their family and personal lives, from health scares to handling fame.

Toward the end of season 3, parents Heidi, 52, and Marc, 55, opened up their lives to the cameras as well, showing an inside look at their marriage struggles and conversations about divorce. They explained that their issues worsened when Heidi and Charli (who won with partner Mark Ballas) became the first mother-daughter duo to compete against each other on season 31 of Dancing with the Stars.

In a confessional from an October 2023 episode, Marc explained that his wife and daughter’s participation in DWTS “created this huge shift in our family which I wasn’t prepared for.”

He continued to say, “If I would have known what I know now, that, like ‘Dude, she wants her career,’” he would have understood that Heidi was looking to do “exactly what I've been doing over the last 20 years” and “start a business.”

Thinking back on their marriage, the patriarch of the family said she wished he hadn’t taken all the opportunities in his career for himself and allowed Heidi to explore her life outside of the family, too.

Season 3 also explored Dixie’s premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which caused her to take time off work to focus on her physical and mental health. At the time, the “Psycho” singer explained she has been experiencing symptoms like depression, anxiety, irritability and insomnia.

“People are going to be like, ‘Oh my God everybody gets that,’ Like no," Dixie said. "I didn’t know that you weren’t supposed to want to die every month before you got your period. It’s not supposed to affect every single aspect in your life from sleep to anxiety.”

With Charli away for DWTS, fans saw the sisters drift apart. In one episode, Charli explained that she didn't know what to do when it came to being there for Dixie because she never understood the PMDD diagnosis.

“When I see Dixie break down, I never know how to react because she either doesn’t want anything to do with me or she wants me to help her," she said in a confessional. "It’s so confusing. I’ve done my own research on PMDD to kind of understand, at least a little bit, but she’s never really explained it to me.”
