Entertainment TV Reality TV Belle of the 'DWTS' Ballroom: Ginger Zee Dazzles with 'Beauty and the Beast' Performance The star earned 36 out of 40 By People Staff Updated on December 1, 2020 11:53PM EST Photo: Adam Taylor/ABC/Getty Ginger Zee proved she’s the Belle of the of the Dancing with the Stars ballroom on Monday’s episode. “For 20 years, I’ve wanted to be Belle,” Zee told reporters after the show. “And tonight, I got to live out a dream.” The ABC News personality and her pro Val Chmerkoskiy unleashed a dazzling Beauty and the Beast-inspired performance in honor of Disney Week – and they earned the highest scores of season 22 (though Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas tied them later in the episode). “What a tasty dish. A hint of tango on a bed of Foxtrot with a dressing of musicality and style,” said Len Goodman. “Undoubtedly the best dance this season.” Carrie Ann Inaba called it “ridiculously good,” while Bruno Tonioli said “everything was crystal clear” in the dance. After receiving a high score of 36 out of 40, Chmerkoskiy couldn’t help but brag about his star. “We wanted this week to be about content and show she could be a contender,” said Chmerkoskiy. Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
