Eddie Redmayne: My Wife Was Late to Our Wedding

Eddie Redmayne may have found the love of his life, but she’s got a little work to do on the punctuality front.

The Theory of Everything star, who tied the knot with Hannah Bagshawe just before Christmas, revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that his now-wife was late to her own wedding.

“She was a good half-hour late,” Redmayne, 33, said on Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “She has never been on time for anything in her life.”

But the actor wasn’t worried that she’d gotten cold feet.

“Everyone else was really stressed,” he said, “but I was kind of relaxed knowing that she’d never been on time for pretty much anything in her life.”

Though the happy couple wed on Dec. 15, they took a honeymoon over the holidays, going skiing in the Alps. Well, sort of.

“We went to the Alps, which was such a beautiful idea, but unfortunately there was no snow,” Redmayne said. “That was just an excuse to take long lunches, drink a lot of red wine and have a lot of fondue.”
