Emmys 2015: Tony Hale Wins Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series

The 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards aired live on Sept. 20 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles

Tony Hale won the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding supporting in a comedy series for his role on Veep.

“I’m so excited our writers just won, they make it possible to do what we do,” he said in his acceptance speech before adding, “I just had a fear my zipper was down!”

Hale beat out funny men including Andre Braugher of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Keegan-Michael Key of Key & Peele, Tituss Burgess of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Adam Driver of Girls and Ty Burrell of Modern Family.

Fox aired the 2015 Emmy Awards, hosted by Andy Samberg, live on Sept. 20.
