From 'Brotherly Love' to Growing Up: Where Are the Lawrence Brothers Now?

They stole our hearts in the '90s and early aughts ... so what have they been up to since?

Few brothers were as successful (and crush-worthy) as Joey, Matthew and Andrew "Andy" Lawrence were in the '90s and early 2000s.

They may have pursued different acting gigs shortly after starring on the '90s NBC sitcom Brotherly Love, but the trio have continued to work together through the years: They formed a band together aptly titled Still Three, costarred in the 2021 holiday flick Mistletoe Mixup and began co-hosting the Brotherly Love Podcast — proving that nothing is stronger than a bond shared among siblings who just get each other.

Their grind has continued, with the three developing a new scripted series together.

"We developed a half-hour comedy called Lawrence House with the producer of Wedding Crashers, and it's unbelievable," Joey told Entertainment Tonight in March 2023. "Single-camera, it's really cool."

From documenting their life growing up in the industry to collaborating in front of and behind the camera, here's what the famous Lawrence brothers have been up to recently.

The eldest Lawrence brother made a splash on Blossom — opposite Mayim Bialik, with whom he reunited for an episode of Call Me Kat in 2022 and will possibly do so again for a Blossom reboot (per Entertainment Weekly) — debuted his first solo album as a teen and made it to the top three on Dancing with the Stars in 2006 before getting eliminated. In 2009, he starred alongside Melissa Joan Hart in ABC Family's (now Freeform) TV movie My Fake Fiancé, which became so successful it inspired a sitcom, Melissa & Joey, starring both actors. Matthew and Andrew even guest-starred on the show.

In July 2017, Joey ran into financial trouble. He and his then-wife, Chandie Yawn-Nelson, filed for bankruptcy with just $8,000 in the bank and $60 in cash after accumulating $355,517.27 worth of liabilities — including $132,000 in credit card bills, $100,000 owed for automobiles, $88,000 in back taxes, $54,000 in unpaid rent and $32,000 for an unpaid loan.

Less than a year later, in March 2018, the couple settled their case. In July 2020, Joey filed for divorce from Yawn-Nelson after nearly 15 years together and welcoming two daughters, Liberty and Charleston. He later wed actress Samantha Cope in 2022, who he costarred with in the Lifetime movie My Husband's Secret Brother. Together, they share a daughter named Dylan Rose.

Joey also appeared on The Masked Singer in November 2022, later discussing with PEOPLE about working with Matthew and Andy just before the launch of their Brotherly Love Podcast.

"We did a Christmas movie for Amazon called Mistletoe Mixup, and we're shooting a sequel to that right now, which will be out [Christmas 2024] for Amazon," Joey said. "I think the fans have really been driving it. They've been begging us to do stuff together, and it's really neat to come back together and do this again."

Since then, Joey and his brothers have co-hosted their joint podcast and shared clips on Instagram and TikTok, as well as silly videos of them on their individual accounts.

"It's just dinner table conversation," he told The Blast in March 2024. "I think that's really what people are kind of responding to. We're not a specific show."

Matthew Lawrence

Where you know him from: Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Boy Meets World

Back in the day, Matthew made us laugh and swoon on Boy Meets World, where he played Shawn Hunter's (Rider Strong) big brother, Jack Hunter. Since then, the actor snagged a role in Mrs. Doubtfire, The Hot Chick (2002) and even reprised his BMW role on the show's reboot, Girl Meets World, in 2015.

Matthew tied the knot with Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke in May 2019, but they finalized their divorce in September 2022 (with Burke getting full custody of their dog, Ysabella, four months later). That same year, Lawrence started dating TLC member Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, and they both go on double dates with Joey and Cope.

While Matthew has pursued solo projects, his true passion lies in collaborating with his brothers.

"It was nice for all of us to know that we have our own little things going on, but we quickly realized, 'Man, we just wish we were doing it together,' " he told Laughing Place in June 2023. "And then becoming adults. That's the purpose. That's the goal now. Let's just try to get as much stuff going together as possible. We love each other. There's nobody else that we'd rather do it with. At this point in life, it's just a hell of a lot more fun."

Andrew Lawrence

Where you know him from: Recess, The Other Me and Hawaii Five-0

The youngest Lawrence brother started as an actor, just like his siblings. Aside from focusing on his music career — even showcasing his musicianship on Instagram — and starring on Brotherly Love, Andy also appeared in the Disney movie The Other Me and on CBS' Hawaii Five-0. Disney fans will also recognize the star's voice as that of T.J. Detweiler from Recess. He was also featured in Better Than Love (2019) with Matthew and starred alongside Joey in Frankie Meets Jack (2023), which he also directed.

Andrew continues to work with his siblings on the Brotherly Love Podcast. "[The reason] why I was so excited about this podcast is because it was an excuse for me to sit around a table and talk with my brothers and get to hang out with them," he told Entertainment Tonight in June 2023. "It's something I really enjoy in life."
