Why Rihanna's Baby Son Riot Rose Is Wearing Pink in His First Photos

Rihanna's baby boy Riot Rose looks adorable in his first photos as he snuggles up in a light pink onesie.

The "Umbrella" singer, 35, and her rapper partner A$AP Rocky, 34, took a series of photos together, introducing their newborn son Riot to the world for the first time. In the pictures, big brother RZA, 16 months, posed alongside his younger brother and his parents, marking the first time the family of four had taken a family photo together.

Rihanna has previously commented on why she likes to dress her sons in pink and floral patterns, opening up about her choices in a March interview with British Vogue.

"One of my favorite outfits he has is a miniature version of one of Rocky's," Rihanna told the outlet of a tartan kilt she had commissioned for her son RZA.

"I like to dress him in things that don't look like baby clothes. I like to push it. I put him in floral stuff. I put him in hot pink. I love that. I think that fluidity in fashion is best. I always shop in the men's department, you know."

In August, sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple had welcomed a second baby boy to the family.

The pair announced the singer's second pregnancy during her Super Bowl halftime show.

Rihanna played up the big pregnancy reveal in the opening moments of her February performance, rubbing her stomach and leaving the zipper of her outfit — a jumpsuit layered over a close-fitting bodysuit and sculpted bandeau — down to reveal her belly.

"She loves being a mom so this is where her mind is at the moment," a source told PEOPLE in February about Rihanna's parenting style. "She is the happiest she has ever been."

Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their first son, RZA, in May 2022. This past May, the couple celebrated their son's first birthday by posting a carousel of photos on Instagram.

Rocky shared a cute picture of RZA crawling on a blanket next to the superstar artist as she kissed her partner on the cheek. He also shared multiple other photos of the three posing for the cameras and acting silly in the mirror.

Sharing a video of Wu Tang Clan founding member Ol' Dirty Bastard at an award show saying that "Wu Tang Clan is for the children," as the last slide, he echoed the sentiment in his caption for the post on Instagram. "WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN 🤲" HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN . RZA❤️."
