Description:

The Trinidad Scorpion is a super hot variety that was once one of the hottest peppers in the world! It held the distinguished honor as the world's hottest pepper, before it was dethroned by the Carolina Reaper. It is still a highly respected pepper for its volcano-level heat. The heat on this pepper is so strong, it may feel like your tongue is being stung by a scorpion! Heat levels can reach as high as 2,000,000 SHUs. The Scorpion Chilli grew very well for us in all test gardens, so we know you will enjoy growing these seeds in your garden!

Features:

  • The Trinidad Scorpion pepper plants grow to be 3 ft. tall.
  • This variety is related to the Butch T Trinidad Scorpion. There are many similarities between the two except Trinidad Scorpion peppers do not have the little tail sticking out of the bottom.
  • They mature from green to yellow, to orange, then finally to bright red color.

Culinary Uses:

  •  This super hot pepper is excellent for heat lovers. It has delicious fruity flavors that come with Scorpion peppers. Check out our Recipes for inspiration!

We we ordered ghost pepper seeds, Carolina reaper seeds And scorpion seeds. Only six Carolina rep proceeds sprouted and 10 ghost pepper seeds sprouted the rest didn’t. We only got a pack of 10+ for each one, but we still like the company and we will still be ordering from them.

Getting Started

So, you've received your seeds and are wondering what's next? At Pepper Joe's, we're committed to equipping you with everything you need to succeed in germinating the pepper seeds you've chosen. Our mission is to introduce you to a diverse array of pepper varieties, setting the stage for an exciting and rewarding gardening experience. Let's dive into the essentials together.

  • What You'll Need

    Soil and Tray Method

    Seed Starting Supplies
  • Plant your Seeds

    1. Pre-saturate your seed starting soil mix. Ensure the seed starting mix is fully saturated prior to planting your seed.
    2. Make a ¼-inch hole in the center of each seed starting cell. A #2 pencil eraser is a great tool for making these holes.
    3. Place your seed and cover gently with soil.
You can plant up to 4 seeds per cell to help ensure successful germination.
  • 4. Place your heat mat under  your base tray and your humidity dome on top. For best results, set your temperature controller between 75 - 80 degrees.

    5. Place your plant light above the seed starting tray and turn on. Refer to the plant light manufacturers instructions for the optimal distance. Plant light should remain on for 14 to 16 hours per day.

    6. Enjoy watching them grow! See our full instruction page below for more information.
