Police Investigate Fatal Shooting In Carrick

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 responded to a 9-1-1 call for a person shot in the 500 block of Maytide Street just before 9 p.m.

Arriving units located a male victim inside a residence who had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced deceased by medics a short time later.

Detectives from Major Crimes and the Crime Scene Unit are investigating. There are no suspect descriptions at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
