Police from Zone 2 were alerted to a male who had arrived at Mercy Hospital in stable condition with a stab wound to the upper chest before 4 a.m.

The victim drove himself to the hospital. He told officers it happened in East Liberty, but did not provide much more information.

Police are investigating.
