Police Investigate Fatal Overnight Shooting in Troy Hill

Summary:
Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were dispatched at approximately 11:30 p.m. to the unit block of Heckelman Street in Troy Hill for reports of a shooting.
Arriving officers located an 18-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his chest on the sidewalk in front of a house.
Officers and then medics administered medical aid, but the victim succumbed to his wounds. He was pronounced deceased by medics at the scene.
The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process all evidence.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
The investigation is ongoing.
