Child Transported to the Hospital after Falling Out of a Window

Summary:

Just after 8 a.m., Pittsburgh Police and EMS were called to a home in the 2400 block of Bedford Avenue for reports of a child who had fallen to the ground from a second floor window.

Neighbors found the two-year-old boy in his blanket and brought him inside to his parents who had not realized he had fallen out of his bed, which was placed flush with the open window.

The child was conscious and crying when medics transported him to the hospital for evaluation in serious but stable condition. 

Detectives responded to the scene, but the incident is being considered an accident at this time.
