UPDATE: Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, EMS, and Police Respond to Fire in Perry South

Summary:

Pittsburgh Bureaus of Fire, EMS and Police responded to a report of a structure fire on the 100 block of W McIntyre Avenue around 11:45 p.m.

First responders were met by residents who were able to escape the house on their own.

Firefighters were able to locate burning material in the basement and quickly extinguish it.

There were no reported injuries. The residents were able to return in their home.

The Fire Investigation Unit, comprised of Pittsburgh Police detectives and Pittsburgh Fire investigators, are investigating the cause of the fire.

UPDATE: 4:20 p.m. 03/19/20 - Frances Miller, 38, of Pittsburgh was arrested in this incident. She is charged with two counts of Arson Endangering Persons and one count of Arson Endangering Property. She is currently being held at Allgheny County JaIl.
