Currently, I am working as an Manger (IT Audit) at KPMG Islamabad and also have the honor of leading their IT Advisory department in KPMG of their Islamabad practice. I have audited clients belonging to various industries such as hospitality, pharmaceutical, electric power generation, electric power distribution, manufacturing, banking, insurance, service providing, NGO and microfinance institutions.
My areas of Expertise encompass:
Following is the work performed on these clients/engagements:
1. Working as an IT Auditor and promoting the business of the company according to the company’s requirements.
2. Checking loop holes for different clients in order to ensure the security of their systems.
3. IT General Control reviews - Assessing and testing internal controls over clients' financial systems either as part of a systems implementation and/or as part of an external audit.
4. IT External Audit - Provide value-added and relevant analyses of an organization's internal control structure, performance, productivity, and efficiency,
5. Application control testing - In order to determine that the organization’s application controls are designed appropriately and operating effectively.
6. Revenue Assurance testing - In order to verify that billing is made properly on its customers and transaction data flows by using CAATs such as SQL and Oracle. This process ensures that customer will be billed with correct prices and that communication company will avoid any billing loss.
7. IT Advisory assignments i.e. IT Risk assessment, BIA assessment, review of company’s IT security policies, Business continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, Post implementation reviews.
