🌍 Want to travel the world with Intuition-1 satellite? No problem! In the coming weeks, we will share images from different locations, showcasing the capabilities of our Leopard Data Processing Unit (DPU) in action. 🌿 Today, we present a capture of the Culuene River in Brazil, highlighting diverse vegetation along its banks. Different shades of red and green in the image represent vegetation intensity, which is crucial for environmental monitoring and resource management. 📸 The image uses hyperspectral imaging, capturing light across 192 spectral bands from visible to near-infrared light, unlike traditional imaging, which uses only three color bands. CIR (Color Infrared) combines infrared, red, and green bands to show healthy vegetation in shades of red, helpful in assessing plant health and monitoring crops. 🚀 Launched in November 2023, Intuition-1 is equipped with the Leopard DPU, which processes hyperspectral data in orbit using AI, performing up to three trillion operations per second. This enables real-time image segmentation and classification, reducing the volume of data transmitted to Earth and enhancing efficiency. 🌊 The Culuene River supports local agriculture and biodiversity. Its meandering course, formed by erosion and sediment deposition, is captured in detail by Intuition-1. 🌟 KP Labs' Contribution to Revolutionary Satellite Anomaly Data Release We are thrilled to have been part of this groundbreaking project led by the European Space Agency - ESA's Ground Segment Systems and Innovation Team at ESOC. The release of the first large-scale, real-life satellite telemetry anomaly dataset marks a significant milestone in the fields of space operations and artificial intelligence.  💡 At KP Labs, we were responsible for developing advanced algorithms and conducting workshops with satellite operators to understand their needs and select the appropriate metrics. Our team designed and implemented oxi.kplabs.pl , a tool specifically for data annotation, and we actively contributed to annotating the dataset based on feedback from operators. 🤝 This collaboration with ESA, Airbus Defence and Space, and the European Space Operations Centre (#ESOC) exemplifies the power of partnership and innovation. 🛰️ We are pleased to announce that our algorithms will once again fly into space! This time they will be part of the Φsat-2 satellite mission, led by Open Cosmos in cooperation with the European Space Agency - ESA. Our innovative solutions will support Earth Observation (EO) through an advanced cloud detection application.   🌩️ We were pleased to develop cloud detection algorithms that will significantly reduce the amount of useless data sent to Earth. This will make data processing aboard the Φsat-2 satellite faster, more efficient and save valuable energy.
