Represent the University and the School of Music, Humanities and Media at Open Days; greet new and potential students; participate in talks and discussions of the courses and opportunities the University offers.
As a result of my efforts as an ambassador, as well as a peer mentor, course rep and founder of the Linguistics Student Society I was awarded the Departmental Prize for The Greatest Contribution to the Linguistics Subject Area.

Attend events across campus organised by the university, such as Postgraduate Study Fair and International Food and Culture Festival, document and write about the events in a blog on the university website;
Attend more niche events, such as concerts by music students and linguistics research seminars and report on them in the blog;
Find and interview current postgraduate research students on the research they are doing to promote PGR in the University of Huddersfield.

Providing some academic but mostly personal support to peers across all years doing a Linguistics degree.
