I went with Chime originally when my checking account was closed. It worked perfectly. Coincidentally years later my bank account closed again. When someone gave me a fraudulent check. I was able to submit the routing number to the companies that pay by automatic deposit. Come in extremely early ! Not 2 days as advertised. Normally 5 days! No fees for anything. The other day I had them generate a check. First class mail. I didn't need an envelope or postage. Keep track in a ledger. Perfect !

I abhor the new update. I never asked for a "virtual card", and this whole "freeze" and "unfreeze" nonsense has made turning my transactions on and off a giant pain. Why was it ever even changed? I've had Chime for YEARS and the ability to just open the app and switch my transactions on and off easily was one of the greatest things about it. Now, you have to jump through hoops and make sure "physical cards" are selected before you "freeze" or "unfreeze" your cards. This is terrible.

When someone duped my card and emptied my bank account, chime refused to restore my funds until I filed a police report. Additionally, they keep changing the app layout to make it harder to get to the "free card" option, which is incredibly inconvenient. Edit: I might consider changing my review if the freeze card option becomes more immediately accessible so I don't have to go three menus deep to freeze and unfreeze my card. Otherwise, I'll just switch to another bank soon.

Let’s be real: Moving is the worst. It’s exhausting, chaotic, and you’re definitely going to hurt your back. Lift with your legs? I don’t want to lift anything. But you know what’s easy to do? Updating your favorite banking app. Think of our engineers like your dream moving crew. They’re nice, on time and lift all the heavy stuff. But more importantly, they get rid of bugs and help this app run smoothly. And unlike moving, you don't even have to lift a finger to update the app. Well, maybe one.
