It's got good stories and good writers. I also like the dark mode. The behavior of the NYT to THE ATHLETIC transfer link has changed for the negative. Previous behavior opened the linked article (in The Athletic) without further clicking. Now clicking a NYT sports link opens Google Play current on The Athletic app. You have to click the Open button to get The Athletic app. The referenced NYT article is nowhere in sight. Have to search for it.

I've been a subscriber since 2018, and frankly, it's getting harder and harder to stay a subscriber. The content is drying up. A lot of teams I follow don't even have a beat reporter anymore... They just left (Washington Capitals) and were never replaced or got pulled from their beat (Dallas Stars) to cover another team. So, no, I don't recommend the Athletic anymore... Also, they changed their live feed discussion, and it's impossible to read anything during a live sporting event.

Great app for tracking news and scores. Some useful additions or fixes to the app: It would be useful to filter the Scores tab to remove leagues I don't care about and add those that don't show. It would also be nice to have an option for filtering alcohol or gambling based advertising in the app. One bug is that article feedback is not always present on stories that are opened via notifications. Does not have the ability to show the schedule or table for the Bundesliga.
