Locked On Red Sox POSTCAST- Red Sox Road Woes Continue

The Red Sox lost their 7th straight road game with a 5-4 loss to the Yankees Friday night in the Bronx.  With the loss, the Red Sox see their record fall to .500 through their 1st 148 Games.  The Sox are at the .500 mark for the 20th time this season.  ----- 1 Big Inning: The Red Sox took a 4-0 lead to the Bottom of the 7th but did not have the lead when the home 7th was over.  Zack Kelly came out of the bullpen with a 4-run cushion.  Kelly walked the 1st 2 hitters he faced and then gave up an RBI Single to Gleyber Torres. Cam Booser walked Juan Soto to load up the bases and Aaron Judge put the Yankees in front with a Grand Slam. ----- Not So Grand Fashion: The Red Sox pitching staff has now allowed 9 Grand Slams this season, most in the Majors.  The Red Sox have not hit a Grand Slam in 100 opportunities with the bases full.  ----- Late Scratch for Tanner: Tanner Houck was scratched from the start inside of 90 minutes of the 1st-pitch Friday night. Houck was pushed back initially after not rebounding from his last outing on September 4 on the road against the Mets.  ----- He Fitts In: Richard Fitts was inserted as the Red Sox starting pitcher Friday night with Houck unable to go. Fitts walked 3 straight hitters with 2 outs in the 1st Inning and he managed to secure the final out and leave 3 runners stranded.  Fitts threw 50 pitches through the 1st 2 Innings but settled down and managed to go 5 full Innings.  Fitts worked 2 1-2-3 Innings and allowed 2 Singles, both to Anthony Rizzo, in his 1st career Big League start on the road. #80's Final Line- 5.0 IP. 2 Hits. 0 R. 0 ER. 3 BB. 2 K.  Fitts left with a 2-0 lead, but for his 2nd straight outing he ended up with a no-decision.  -----
