England vs Denmark Euro 2024 Prediction

HINT: BTTS ODDS: 11/10 20 JUN @ 17:00

A rematch of the Euro 2024 semi-final on Thursday, three years after England prevailed 2-1 after extra-time against Denmark.

England were uninspiring in their 1-0 victory over Serbia to start their Euro 2024 campaign. That match did give us our biggest winning tip of the tournament so far when we correctly predicted Jude Bellingham to score a header at 14-1. However, Gareth Southgate’s side created very little else and even looked tired in the second half.

Denmark started similarly, with an early goal against Slovenia before drifting off in the second half and conceding a 77th minute equaliser, albeit courtesy of a big deflection.

It will be interesting to see what starting lineup Southgate goes with. Will Trent Alexander-Arnold continue in holding midfield after a poor showing in the opener? Will Phil Foden continue to get the left wing role ahead of Anthony Gordon and Eberechi Eze?

England have the quality on paper but have a terrible tactician with their manager. His substitutions are also very predictable and often much later than they should be. Whilst I expect them to avoid defeat on Thursday and win the group, they’ll come undone the first time they face a good side.

Denmark looked decent from set pieces in their opener and Christian Eriksen was able to get a number of shots in on goal. The supply to Rasmus Hojlund and Jonas Wind up top could have been better though.

England drew 0-0 with USA in game 2 at the last World Cup and 0-0 with Scotland in game 2 at Euro 2021. I don’t expect this one to be a 0-0 but I can certainly see it being a draw if England play like they did versus Serbia. So I don’t see much value in the Three Lions at 4/6. Denmark are a threat from set pieces and England’s defence are a threat to themselves, whilst England also have a lot of talent going forward.

Best bet: Both teams to score is 11/10 with Bet365
