Hey, guys! I am Ashley from Shaoxing, a beautiful city in the southeast of China. I am currently in Beijing. And I am an education major at NYU(New York University). I am passionate about acquiring new abilities and meeting people from various backgrounds. During my spare time, I play basketball and volleyball, swim, hike, travelling, read, and learn Spanish. I am good not only in Chinese, but also in mathematics, physics, and economics, so if you want to learn these subjects in Chinese, let me know!
I have been teaching at an elementary school for nearly 5 years, where I gained the ability to provide engaging and accessible learning environments for passionate language learners like you. I even compiled a bilingual AP Calculus textbook for my school. And I am an education major at NYU(New York University)
I have a solid knowledge base of Chinese. I have authored several articles in Chinese and was awarded gold at several national writing competitions. I can also teach in English since I had a high score on the TOEFL.
My teaching methodology is comprehensive and personalized, covering the language itself (vocabulary, Chinese phonetic alphabets, speaking, reading), as well as Chinese culture. I believe that to learn a language efficiently, we should relate it to the society behind it
