About me

Hi there!

My name is Sandra, and I am 27 years of age. I was born to a British father and a Dutch mother. Having been taught Dutch and English ever since I could talk, I am fluent in both languages. I'm currently living in the Netherlands, but have lived in Wales for a few years with my father.

I'm now a stepmother of three wonderful children, engaged to a loving partner, and owner of my own writing and translating business in the Netherlands.

As a kid, my British friends were always asking me to teach them Dutch. Of course, a child has limited capabilities when it comes to teaching. Now that I'm older and (I like to think) wiser, I enjoy being able to help others any way I can, including teaching them something new.

I like to keep an informal vibe going in the classroom. Learning a language becomes a lot more fun when you are actually having fun in the classroom!

Dutch for beginners

This course will teach you the 1000 most used words in the Dutch language and the grammar to go with them. When learning Dutch for beginners, I will help you be able to find your way in the country, ask for basic things and be able to have a conversation in a shop and other retail locations.

Conversational Dutch

When learning conversational Dutch, I will help you be able to have a daily conversation with people. This can be anything from the weather to finding a job.

Intensive Dutch

Are you looking to grow your Dutch knowledge extensively within a short timeframe? Then the intensive Dutch course is the way to go. This course includes a lot of information and is - as the name suggests - intense, so it is important that you are open to homework.This course is also available for you if you're just looking for a conversation partner to talk Dutch with so you can keep practicing.

NT2

Using multiple learning methods, I will help you prepare for the NT2 exam. Includes reading, speaking, listening and writing.

CNAVT

The CNAVT is a certificate showing you understand the Dutch language at a specific level. I can help you reach level A1, A2, B1 and B2.
