Hallo zusammen, fellow Language Enthusiasts!
I'm a certified German as a Foreign and Second Language teacher (BA DaF/DaZ), specializing in teaching adults. Having traveled extensively, I'm interested in countries, cultures, and people. Therefore, I very much enjoy working with students from all over the world. My work and travel experience helps me bond with people quite quickly and provide me with a distinctive intercultural competence. I'm light-hearted, quick to laugh, open-minded, and curious.
My teaching style adapts to your learning style, goals, and interests.
I have taught integration classes for refugees, and company courses for varied businesses, e.g. travel agencies, banks, and start-ups, prepared people for job interviews in Germany, customized and created lesson material, and taught offline (2 years) and online for 6.5 years. I specialize in 1:1 online classes.
Classes with me are structured, topic-oriented, and fun, yet focused. I use varied teaching/learning methods, and I'm quick to adapt to your needs. I can answer spontaneously arising questions.
Lessons revolve around a topic, which is then accompanied by various material.
- e.g. a picture to get brainstorming
- a video or audio to discuss (sound, visuals, impressions, pros and cons, personal opinions, etc.)
- the student is given appropriate material to help them verbalize thoughts and opinions, depending on their level this can be whole sentences, phrases, adjectives, participles, etc.)
- exercises to prepare for real-life situations
- clarifying grammar rules
- homework if wanted
